Quite often, we find ourselves unable to bring a scene to a fitting conclusion. When this problem arises, try following this piece of advice that is normally applied to the story as a whole—but on a smaller scale: bring the scene full circle.
If your character got upset and ran off from their friends in the previous scene, find a way to bring them back. If they started the scene contemplating an important decision, end with them certain of an answer.
This may seem like a very obvious solution, but these generic examples only scratch the surface of how you can do this. It really all depends on your writing: only you know the significance of every move your character makes, and in some cases, the more subtle the connection you make between the beginning of the scene and the end of the scene, the better.
When and if you become stuck on how to end a particular scene, just ask yourself this question: How did I start the scene, and how can I connect back to it at this point?
